SEBASTIÁN IS ACTIVELY INVOLVED WITH SYMPHONIC MUSIC AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN THE UNITED STATES, HE IS VISITING PROFESSOR, DIRECTOR OF ORCHESTRAL STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO AND AN AVID ADJUDICATOR.
RECENT PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENTS INCLUDE SERVING AS ASSISTANT CONDUCTOR WITH SKAGIT SYMPHONY AND SARATOGA ORCHESTRA, ACTING COVER CONDUCTOR FOR YAKIMA SYMPHONY. HE HAS ALSO HELD CONDUCTING FELLOWSHIP AT THE CABRILLO FESTIVAL, THE NATIONAL ORCHESTRAL INSTITUTE, ALLENTOWN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, SYMPHONY TACOMA AND MOSTLY MODERN FESTIVAL, NY, WHERE HE PREMIERED WORKS WITH THE AMERICAN MODERN ENSEMBLE.
