Denver Philharmonic: World’s Fair

  • Central Presbyterian Church 1660 Sherman Street Denver, CO, 80203 United States (map)

Eight international conductors lead each movement of three masterful works at our second-annual maestro exhibition. Cindy McTee’s perpetual and energetic Circuits opens World’s Fair with 21st-century American fervor. “Extraordinary” (Washington Post) Cuban-Spanish pianist Leonel Morales displays the romance and lyricism of Piano Concerto No. 2 by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin. And Antonín Dvořák’s New World Symphony brilliantly blends Czech folk music with Black and Indigenous melodies to create something uniquely American. See and hear the maestros of tomorrow from the DPO International Conducting Workshop
